Volunteers
The SAC Events, including Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival, Songs on the Slough, Guitar Masters Concert, Drama Camp, Nature Walks, Higgy’s En Plen Air Art Week, Jakolof Bay 10 Mile Bike/Run, Salmon Shuffle, Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Music Series would not occur without the countless hours our volunteers give to make it happen. For the entire calendar year, our volunteer 11-person Board meets monthly, conducts behind-the-scenes research, arranges transportation, accommodations, logistics and resources, markets and promotes the events. On the day of any event, our wonderful community of Seldovia comes out of the woodwork to assist with the labor it takes to build a beautiful space. (They even climb multi-story trees to light up our Main Street during the dark Winter Sostice and Holiday time!)
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to acknowledge the efforts of the Seldovia Arts Council Board and all of the other volunteers and family members who pitch in. At last count, we had more than 50 volunteers making things happen.

Membership, Sponsorship, and Volunteerism provides the backbone of our budget.
